Cognitive Remediation

Cognitive remediation therapy is a method based on behavior training in order to improve cognitive activities relating to attention, learning and memory, and planning, problem solving, cognitive flexibility, reasoning and judgment. Cognitive remediation therapy effectively improves cognitive impairment in patients with a variety of disorders. It is a set of cognitive drills or compensatory interventions designed to enhance cognitive functioning by engaging the participant in a learning activity to enhance the neurocognitive skills relevant to overall recovery goals and experience a positive impact on functional skills which affect everyday life.
